Many of the decisions that shape our climate future are made right here in Montgomery County.
County leaders determine how buildings use energy, where major developments are built, how residents travel, how waste is managed, where trees and natural areas are protected, and how public funds support climate action. These local decisions affect our air, water, neighborhoods, utility costs, public health, and quality of life.
Climate Coalition Montgomery County brings residents and organizations together to speak with a strong, coordinated voice. We engage with the County Council, County Executive, Planning Board, Board of Education, county agencies, and other decision-makers to advance practical, equitable climate solutions.
